The VENUM PRO VNM Mid Range Divers was engineered and designed to use a neodymium magnet to power the drivers. It's no secret that the larger the magnet the more power a loud speaker can handle, this is because it increases the magnetic field in the motor assemble which increases the responsiveness making the driver more powerful. Neodymium magnets is in the family of rare earth magnets and holds two to three times the magnetic strength vs the traditional ferrite magnets. Not only do they have an enormous performance impact on the mid-driver but they also decrease the mounting depth and area for easier installation.
