Nearly 2 years in the making, the first mid-bass speaker from SSA is here. Being this is an SSA speaker, elite performance at an affordable price was the ONLY option. Through numerous designs and prototypes, we developed a mid-bass speaker that is deserving of the SSA brand name. As seen by the long list of premium features, (copper coil, carbon fiber cone, shorting ring, Nomex spiders, Aluminum basket and former, solid pole piece, underhung motor) it shows we went the distance to make the SSA Evil6.5 a fantastic sound quality speaker that can take some power and will have strong output when called upon. The SSA Evil6.5 is at home in a well damped car door, or even a home audio tower / bookshelf.     I was impressed at how these sound, they replaced my old trust Silverflutes and sounded better. Not a bunch, but noticeable. Definitely had more bass. Notice it said had.

    Great sounds out of this 6.5 and the matching tweeters as well. I have 6 of these in my yukon, 1 in each rear door and 2 in each front door in some pods and they really do meet my expectations and I believe are a solid value. I am running around 100-125 watts rms to these and am pleased with the output.. I hope I get some good years out of these.

    These are not your typical pro audio mid range speakers that scream from 250hz and up but have no lower frequency sound. These are true mid bass speakers that can play down below 100hz with authority.

    These speaker are very well made. Probably the nicest 6.5's I've ever owned! Sound quality is epic at high volumes if you can tune yr amp correctly!

    These woofers definitely get the job done. They sound very smooth and the midbass response is excellent. I’m glad I purchased these. I am pleased with all the SSA equipment that I have.

    These speakers play loud and clean. Have a pair in my shelf speakers and now a pair in my front stage of my car. Seal these speakers up well and they will be punchy, loud, and clean. They look great as well with the carbon fiber cone and the bullet center pole. Definitely can't beat this price for this quality, I would recommend and am a repeat buyer of this product.

    These are some amazing sounding speakers. I have been on a quest to find a 6.5 speaker that could not only handle some power but also produce bass and sound amazing doing it.

    If you crossover correctly and pair with a set of tweeters you won't be disappointed.
