The Orion Cobalt Class D amplifiers, also known as switching amplifiers, are a type of amplifier that have gained popularity due to their high efficiency and compact size. Unlike traditional Class A/B amplifiers, which operate in linear mode and can be less efficient. The main characteristic of Class D amplifiers is their use of pulse-width modulation to rapidly switch the output transistors on and off.
